Have you ever been happily living large; sitting tal, Then BAM! You had a devastating fall?
How low did you go? What did life look like from down there?
You may have thought it would take more than all the kings’ horses and all the kings’ men to put you back together again.
The good news is you have everything you need to recover. You came here with the promise, protection, provision and power of grace. It is in your Christian DNA whether you are worthy of it or not. It may take a lifetime to discover, however in the rearview mirror of your life you may see how unmerited favor, kindness and protection were real throughout your life.
Then there is mercy sitting on the sidelines not judging you for the negative things that might have caused your fall in the first place. Do you have the courage to take an authentic look at who you are? Can you accept the power of love and friendship standing at the ready to bring a band aide to your hurt?
Get up! Actualize your faith muscles. If that doesn’t seem to be working, open up the drawer where you keep your patience and begin to understand that re-positioning is a process, not an event. Have faith after your failure to try again. Be encouraged in whatever your season. God has sight beyond what you can see and a reason for allowing your circumstances. You are not alone.
Recently, my Pastor reminded me that our problems are positioned to prepare us for our promise, our purpose, and our destiny. Some falls, some breakage is God allowed or God sent. Sometimes it’s the only way God can get our attention. Sometimes we are moving so fast in the land of “should” we lose out on the life for which we were created.
Humpty Dumpty has become a highly popular nursery rhyme character. He is also a common literary allusion, particularly to refer to a person in an insecure position, something that, once broken, would be difficult to reconstruct, or a short and fat person.
That literary illusion is NOT you.
You are brilliant, powerful, beautiful, incredible, significant and so much more!
Walk in who you are. Thrive!
Share your blessings of restoration, re-positioning. You are welcome at the table. You are important!
Until next time, remember,
-
You are not alone.
-
You are not your circumstances.
-
You have everything within you to live a purpose-filled life.
